What a star Helen is – she completed the Baker Hughes 10K on Sunday 5 May and raised over £1,000 for the Living Well Cafe. Despite the wind in her face heading towards the Bridge of Don, and a sore leg until she reached the 9K mark when it suddenly disappeared (the pain, not her leg!) she completed the course in a very respectable 1 hour six minutes and 51 seconds. Good on ya, Helen!
Thanks to John Lewis for selecting the Living Well Project to take part in their Community Matters initiative. We were delighted to receive a cheque for £1260 and thanks to everyone for popping their token in the right slot!
Well done to Jack, Finlay & Sajan of Portlethen Academy who won £3000 for the Living Well Project. They came through as worthy winners of the Youth Philanthropy Initiative. They were against five other groups and the competition was tough but the boys’ presentation was amazing and wowed the judges!
