Thank you to all who came to our AGM on Monday evening. It was great to see you all.
We began with the welcome song from the cafes and then heard Committee reports from our Convener, Treasurer, and one of our Committee members followed by reports of the past year from Café Team Leader Jeanette Abel and our Befriending Co-ordinator Ruth Groves.
I think all those who attended enjoyed hearing an overview of the project and what difference both the befriending service and cafés are making for people.
We are also very grateful for your kind comments during the meeting.
A very encouraging evening!
Please join us for our Annual General Meeting on Monday 22nd January at Newhills Church at 7pm.
Reports will be given on the work of both the Befriending Service and the Cafe, and an overview of where we have come in the past year as a Project and where we would hope to be travelling.
There will also be a Financial Report to indicate the condition of funding.
This is an open meeting so you would be very welcome.
The Living Well Project” was discussed along with the Sheddocksley Baptist Church’s “Parish Nursing” and “Fine Piece” at a meeting at the Beach Ballroom this week with Prof John Swinton as their keynote speaker. Organised by Aberdeen City Council, it spoke positively about the Project’s distinctive contribution and possibilities for “Ageing and Living Well” in Aberdeen.
